Responsibilities
- Plan, design, develop, and maintain technical software solutions that meet business requirements and Mastercard standards.
- Lead day-to-day system development and maintenance activities, including production incident management, root-cause analysis, remediation, and on-call support.
- Own software development lifecycle artifacts, including requirements, use cases, designs, test strategies, performance benchmarks, release plans, contingency plans, feasibility studies, and estimates.
- Research technologies and frameworks, participate in proofs of concept, and support selection of vendor solutions and delivery approaches.
- Collaborate with vendors and coordinate offshore development activities.
- Mentor and train team members and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions on technologies, methodologies, and frameworks.
- Promote quality assurance and quality control processes and perform requirements, design, code, and security reviews.
- Ensure adequate unit, system, integration, and performance test coverage and maintain technology road maps.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience delivering secure solutions in the financial services sector is preferred.
- Broad understanding of software engineering concepts and methodologies.
- Strong verbal, written, relationship, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure, take initiative, learn quickly, and contribute to geographically distributed matrix teams.
