Responsibilities
- Partner with multiple product groups on distributed-systems design, cloud technology layers, dependencies at scale, and infrastructure code.
- Lead by example and mentor engineers in producing extensible, maintainable code used across products.
- Develop and promote engineering insights and standards that improve product development and operations.
- Drive continuous improvements across product architecture, code, features, operations, and end-to-end usage scenarios.
- Improve product fundamentals and architecture while sharing reusable knowledge and code across teams.
- Provide technical leadership in test maturity reviews, static analysis reviews, on-call rotations, and incident response.
- Use deep business and technical expertise to resolve major incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of technical engineering experience, or a master’s degree and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems, cloud computing providers, SaaS services, or similarly complex environments.
- Awareness of modern distributed software design patterns and cloud systems architecture, including microservices, containers, load balancing, queuing, and caching.
- Experience with C#, Java, C, C++, or Golang.
- Experience building, shipping, and operating reliable solutions.
