Base Salary
$174k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Implement SRE practices to improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of datacenter services.
- Build and maintain observability and telemetry collection platforms for monitoring, logging, alerting, dashboards, and reporting.
- Develop automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and management.
- Analyze and optimize datacenter system and application performance and resource utilization.
- Conduct root cause analysis, post-mortem reviews, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and hardware and software vendors to meet reliability requirements and integrate technologies.
- Ensure observability and reliability solutions comply with security policies and industry standards.
- Maintain troubleshooting documentation and continuously improve infrastructure reliability and scalability.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a closely related field.
- Eight years of experience in backend software development.
- Experience working in cloud environments, particularly AWS.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining highly available, distributed systems.
- Preferred: proficiency with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Preferred: experience with SRE practices and tools such as Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
- Preferred: strong programming and scripting skills with Python, Go, or Bash.
- Preferred: familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, and their observability and reliability services.
- Preferred: strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
