Responsibilities

  • Design, build, maintain, and improve highly available, scalable, secure infrastructure and application platforms.
  • Administer Linux servers, Tomcat application servers, Apache web servers, and containerized applications.
  • Implement infrastructure and configuration as code using Ansible.
  • Troubleshoot and operate CI/CD build, deployment, and release pipelines.
  • Automate operational tasks and collaborate with development teams to improve software delivery.
  • Monitor platform and application health, analyze logs, and improve resiliency, performance, and scalability.
  • Perform vulnerability remediation and support identity, secrets, certificate, and security compliance management.
  • Coordinate non-production releases and periodic production releases, including deployment planning, rollback strategies, and change control.
  • Troubleshoot complex multi-tier application and infrastructure issues primarily in RND, UAT, and QA environments.
  • Mentor junior engineers, establish operational standards, and drive continuous improvement and technology modernization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree; a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Typically 5+ years of industry-relevant experience.
  • Strong Linux administration and scripting experience with Bash, Python, or similar tools.
  • Strong experience with Tomcat and Apache web servers.
  • Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or comparable CI/CD platforms.
  • Experience with IBM MQ, Confluent Kafka, Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Ansible, Redis, and Git-based source control.
  • Understanding of networking, DNS, load balancing, SSL/TLS, security concepts, and key/certificate management.
  • Experience with observability and logging tools such as Dynatrace, Logscale, Elastic, Splunk, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with Java and Angular development frameworks without requiring developer-level expertise.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex multi-tier applications and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
  • Preferred skills include DevOps, enterprise architecture frameworks, technical knowledge, risk assessment, customer solutions, design, emerging technologies, and machine learning awareness.
