Responsibilities
- Design and build automated testing pipelines, frameworks, and infrastructure.
- Develop tooling that identifies patterns and root causes in test results.
- Enable QA teams to run automated tests across applications, devices, and backend services.
- Determine technical solutions with broad autonomy and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Gather complex cross-functional requirements and author thorough technical specifications.
- Mentor teammates and collaborate with stakeholders across Apple.
- Coordinate project delivery across diverse teams while balancing technical depth and stakeholder communication.
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience as a software developer delivering production-quality tooling or infrastructure.
- 3+ years of Python development, including object-oriented design, class hierarchies, and maintainable, scalable codebases.
- At least one additional programming language, with Scala or Swift strongly preferred, and 3+ years of hands-on use.
- Experience with CI/CD systems and adjacent tools such as Jenkins, including pipeline configuration and maintenance.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools and techniques to deliver high-quality software.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and cross-functional stakeholder skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Preferred experience with DevOps tooling and practices, including Ansible, Splunk, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred familiarity with Apple testing tools and platforms such as XCTest and XCUITest.
- Preferred track record driving test infrastructure or developer tooling initiatives in large-scale, multi-platform environments.
