Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain backend software for a high-performing banking project.
- Work with Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka, microservices, JPA, and database technologies.
- Apply software design and architecture patterns and functional programming practices.
- Implement testing practices using TDD or BDD approaches.
- Contribute to API design and specification using OpenAPI 3/OAS3 when needed.
- Participate in a mandatory rotating on-call schedule for one full week approximately every three to four months.
- Resolve critical system incidents during assigned on-call periods.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in a similar role.
- Advanced expertise in J2EE, Spring Boot, and Apache Kafka.
- Experience with Java 8 or later, microservices architecture, functional programming, JPA, and software design and architecture patterns.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity or working experience with Agile methodologies and Scrum.
- English proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
- Basic knowledge of API design and specification with OpenAPI 3/OAS3 is desirable.
- Basic knowledge of reactive programming is highly valued.
