Responsibilities
- Translate business requirements into testable acceptance criteria with Team Leaders, Business Analysts, and Project Managers.
- Own testing activities from framework development and test execution through gap analysis and solution extension.
- Develop and maintain Python-based automated tests covering functional, API, integration, end-to-end, and non-functional scenarios.
- Create, maintain, and report on regression test suites and define automation strategies for primarily backend web applications.
- Create test plans, specifications, test cases, and business cases according to development requirements and internal procedures.
- Track defects, report reproducible issues to development teams, and validate resolutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile/Scrum activities.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in backend automation testing using Python and Pytest.
- Experience working closely with development teams as part of the same testing and delivery team.
- Familiarity with TestRail, Jira, test case management, and bug tracking tools.
- Experience with REST web services and API testing tools.
- Knowledge of CI tools, preferably GitLab-CI.
- Experience working with relational databases, preferably Google BigQuery or PostgreSQL.
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance processes and best practices, with careful issue reporting and reproduction steps.
- Experience creating and maintaining test specifications, test cases, and business cases from development requirements.
- Ability to apply Decision Tables to complex business logic and understand complex technical architecture.
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
- Experience with load testing, preferably Locust, is a plus.
- Prior iGaming, online casino, or sports betting experience, including real-money transaction flows, odds engines, or regulatory compliance testing, is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of APIs, REST API services, sockets, Agile practices, and Scrum teams is desirable.
