Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance frontend applications and backend services.
- Develop and integrate APIs and database-driven services.
- Build and maintain cloud-native application components.
- Contribute to event-driven services and scheduled or background processing workloads.
- Develop automated unit and integration tests and maintain software quality.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines and containerized application deployments.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide deployment and production support as required.
- Collaborate with developers, product stakeholders, clients, and other members of an Agile delivery team.
- Quickly understand and contribute to an established application architecture and codebase.
Requirements
- Strong professional experience as a Full Stack Developer with hands-on frontend and backend development experience.
- Strong experience with TypeScript and modern frontend development, including a framework such as React.
- Backend development experience, preferably with Python or comparable server-side technologies.
- Experience with API development, relational databases, cloud-native applications, event-driven architectures, scheduled processing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of automated testing, source control, code reviews, and maintainable application design.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership, and become productive quickly in an existing product environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills within Agile delivery teams.
- Client or stakeholder experience in professional services or consulting is an asset.
- Previous Canadian public-sector or government digital-services experience is an asset.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Candidates must be based in and authorized to work in Canada and available to collaborate during Pacific Time hours.
Benefits

- Contract engagement expected to last approximately six months, with an anticipated start in October 2026.
