Responsibilities
- Modernize, consolidate, and re-platform cash-processing applications for cash management and cash forecasting.
- Internalize third-party image software using cloud platforms, object storage, workflow engines, data streams, and APIs.
- Develop and implement Java/J2EE web applications and API-driven solutions using Spring.
- Advise leadership on applications, networks, information security, databases, operating systems, and web technologies.
- Lead strategy and resolution of complex enterprise-wide technical challenges and provide technical direction to leadership.
- Lead the engineering team, manage large-scale enterprise systems, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Recommend technology innovations and maintain awareness of industry best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience or equivalent experience, training, military experience, or education.
- At least 5 years of application development and implementation experience.
- At least 5 years of Java/J2EE web application development and Spring Core experience.
- At least 5 years of API-driven development experience, including SOAP, REST, and JSON.
- At least 1 year of experience using generative AI technologies and AI-assisted development platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Devin, Claude, or similar tools.
- Experience with cloud systems, large-scale development, leadership, problem-solving, enterprise systems, and engineering processes.
- Preferred experience includes cash-processing payments, Google Cloud, Azure, AWS, Pivotal Cloud Foundry, containers, Kubernetes, React, BDD, DDD, Cucumber, Karate, OOAD, multithreaded applications, design patterns, performance tuning, scaling, security, resiliency, Agile/Scrum delivery, JIRA, and financial institutions.
