Responsibilities
- Design and iterate on robust, scalable online and offline backend systems for a high-traffic ad delivery platform.
- Develop features across ranking, ad prediction and delivery, premium ads, targeting and custom audiences, and performance measurement.
- Drive architecture improvements for high-throughput, low-latency applications.
- Collaborate with Ads Ranking, Ads Foundation, Data Platform, and AI Infrastructure engineering teams.
- Lead projects through motivation clarification, system design, development, release, and learning from results.
- Partner with internal business stakeholders to define advertising product strategy and features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, physics, mathematics, or another relevant major.
- At least 3 years of experience developing backend systems for high-traffic web services.
- Advanced experience with at least one of Java, Kotlin, Golang, C++, C#, or Python.
- Fluency with Kafka, Redis, SQL, and some NoSQL databases.
- Business-level English and conversational-level Japanese.
- Preferred experience in advertising or ad technology, high-traffic architecture design, and Java failure analysis and class/interface design.
- Preferred experience configuring, developing, and operating microservice or service mesh architectures.
- Preferred experience with GitHub, AWS, Spring Boot, MySQL, Hive, Spark, Flink, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred knowledge of large-scale data processing, machine learning, statistics, and mathematics.
- Business-level Japanese is preferred.
