Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the design and delivery of significant components of a service scaling from early customers to broad AWS adoption.
- Build and maintain distributed, high-concurrency software for the Chorus real-time document workspace.
- Participate in technical discussions, bring data, document tradeoffs, and help partner teams reach decisions.
- Determine when one-off solutions should become reusable abstractions and raise emerging patterns with the team.
- Conduct thorough code reviews and help onboard newer engineers.
- Add monitoring and alarming, ensure production readiness, and participate in on-call support.
- Work with customer teams to understand system integrations and unblock engineers through design reviews and technical guidance.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of non-internship experience in software design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 3+ years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
