Base Salary
$102k - $219k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, review, and improve software for secure Azure AI platform features using languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, and Python.
- Design features and contribute to architecture, technical design documents, dependency planning, scalability, resiliency, performance, privacy, accessibility, and compliance requirements.
- Develop and execute test strategies, add test coverage, improve test reliability and diagnosability, and use AI tools for test automation.
- Build production and deployment automation, support safe releases and rollbacks, and contribute to deployment infrastructure and experimentation using feature flags or flighting.
- Apply security-as-code practices, threat modeling, security monitoring, compliance controls, and AI safety features across production systems.
- Operate live-site services on a rotational on-call basis, investigate incidents using logs and telemetry, act as a designated responsible individual, and implement mitigations and preventive improvements.
- Collaborate with product managers, technical program managers, security and privacy specialists, architects, data scientists, and partner engineering teams to deliver customer-focused features.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 2+ years of technical engineering experience coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including an active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance with SCI access based on an SSBI with polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship verification is required because of citizenship-based legal restrictions supporting U.S. government customers.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree plus 3+ years of experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
- Background in cloud platforms, preferably Azure, is preferred.
- Understanding of CI/CD and automation best practices is preferred.
- Problem-solving and debugging experience across cloud services, platform components, and operational tooling is preferred.
