Base Salary
$170k - $190k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and own LLM-powered agents for internal tooling, customer-facing features, and workflow automation.
- Design team-level agent workflows and RAG architectures and influence broader engineering design.
- Build and operate MCP servers that expose company data and services as structured tools for AI models.
- Define testing, reliability, and operational practices while owning delivery and on-call quality for major services.
- Create Langfuse evaluation pipelines and prompt-versioning practices to improve reliability and cost/quality outcomes.
- Ship the services, infrastructure, MCP servers, and evaluation harnesses supporting the agent platform.
- Lead design reviews, mentor engineers, improve engineering practices, and collaborate with product, data, and platform teams on governed agent solutions.
Requirements
- At least five years of software engineering experience, including multiple years building and operating LLM or AI agent systems in production.
- Expert Python and service-development experience, including asynchronous development, FastAPI, and Pydantic v2.
- Deep experience designing RAG architectures and agent workflows, preferably with Claude through Amazon Bedrock or the Anthropic API.
- Strong AWS engineering experience with Bedrock, Lambda, ECS, API Gateway, and related services.
- Hands-on experience building and operating LangChain/LangGraph agent tooling and MCP tool/resource servers.
- Experience with Terraform, infrastructure as code, and containerized delivery through CI/CD.
- Strong data-layer experience with Redis, Snowflake, DynamoDB, Postgres/Aurora, and asynchronous SQLAlchemy.
- Knowledge of identity and application-security fundamentals including JWT/OAuth and secrets management.
- Production observability and LLM evaluation experience, including tracing and latency, cost, and quality metrics.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and establish engineering practices.
- Experience with data warehouse engineering, Snowflake, MongoDB, React 19, TypeScript, or responsible AI and governance is preferred.
