Base Salary

$168k - $227k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop, build, deploy, and operate AWS Frontier AI services in GovCloud and isolated regions.
  • Design and implement massively scalable distributed systems and solutions across thousands of devices.
  • Build automation and streamline operational processes, including support for security campaigns, host patching, blocked software remediation, and parity programs.
  • Troubleshoot complex Linux, networking, systems, and operational issues and lead technical post-mortem discussions.
  • Own technical strategy and architectural decisions, make data-driven decisions, and lead resolution of complex technical issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drive engineering excellence through code reviews, design reviews, and best practices.
  • Work cross-functionally with partner teams and government customers to resolve contentious technical issues and improve customer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or CSSLP certification.
  • At least 5 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • At least 5 years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • At least 5 years of experience leading the design or architecture of new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
  • Current, active US Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility or above.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph or commensurate agency-specific clearance after starting.
  • Preferred: at least 5 years of full software development life-cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
