Base Salary
$193k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and ownership of the AI Platform Foundation.
- Architect high-level abstractions and APIs for AI development.
- Establish monitoring and quality assurance systems for AI features.
- Define the technical roadmap for Smartsheet’s AI infrastructure.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years working with LLMs in production.
- Deep experience with prompt and context engineering.
- Strong knowledge of RAG architectures and evaluation frameworks.
- Proficient in Python and comfortable in data-heavy environments.
- Ability to communicate complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong cross-functional judgment and clarity in ambiguous situations.
