Responsibilities
- Lead complete projects across backend services, APIs, and data pipelines, including experimentation, development, and rollout strategies
- Architect scalable and cost-efficient systems supporting high-throughput marketing operations
- Identify underlying technical problems and create reusable abstractions that simplify system complexity
- Partner with Marketing and Product stakeholders to define requirements and make technical and business trade-offs
- Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, technical guidance, and onboarding
- Improve team productivity through process improvements and automation
Requirements
- 5–8 years of software engineering experience with expert-level Python proficiency for scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines
- Proven ability to lead projects end to end, including architecture, implementation, experimentation, and production rollout
- Deep expertise with Snowflake, SQL, ETL processes, Airflow, and DBT
- Experience designing performant, scalable, robust systems with comprehensive logging, metrics, and tracing
- Strong product thinking and ability to research problems, influence product direction, and balance technical and business trade-offs
- Strong communication, mentoring, and cross-team alignment skills
- Preferred experience with automation frameworks, reusable abstractions, and team productivity improvements
- Preferred experience with Google Ads, Facebook Ads, Snapchat Ads, and large-scale conversion tracking
- Preferred understanding of digital marketing operations and performance marketing KPIs including ROAS, LTV, CAC, and CPA
- Preferred experience with cloud cost optimization, chaos engineering, disaster recovery, strategic technical debt management, legacy modernization, security-by-design, and production incident response
- Ability to leverage AI tools for productivity improvements and contribute to AI-assisted development infrastructure
