Base Salary
$123k - $167k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and improve Kubernetes clusters and containerized application deployments across cloud environments.
- Develop and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) to provision and configure platform resources consistently.
- Own and improve CI/CD pipelines, including GitLab CI configuration and automated workflows.
- Support identity and access management through tools like Keycloak.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging for platform health.
- Manage certificate lifecycle operations, including renewal of public certificates.
- Contribute to platform security posture through container security practices.
- Collaborate with application teams to troubleshoot deployment issues.
- Write and maintain technical documentation and operational standards.
- Influence strategic vision by contributing to technological advancements.
- Participate in on-call rotations and support platform incidents.
- Mentor and support junior engineers through pairing and code reviews.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes for deploying and managing clusters.
- Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tooling, particularly GitLab CI.
- Working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker.
- Ability to read and write YAML for Kubernetes manifests and pipeline configurations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- U.S. citizenship required; must be eligible for CUI access.
- Possess or ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II certification.
