Base Salary

$127k - $141k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Build agile products and services in a startup-like environment.
  • Design and build distributed, event-driven microservices.
  • Independently define, decompose, and lead delivery of complex projects.
  • Perform code reviews and design reviews and write high-quality tests.
  • Become the subject matter expert for one or more services.
  • Create documentation including diagrams, service descriptions, decisions, and runbooks.
  • Own and operationally improve services throughout their lifecycle.
  • Identify and remove bottlenecks that affect developer experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least 2 years of software engineering experience with languages such as Java or Golang.
  • Experience designing and building cloud-based services.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, containerization, microservices architecture, and continuous integration and delivery.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Kafka and Ruby on Rails is a plus.
