Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable systems and services aligned with architectural standards and product requirements.
  • Implement maintainable, performant, observable, and reliable microservices and APIs.
  • Own complex features and components from design through deployment, testing, monitoring, and operational support.
  • Build services using AWS serverless, event-driven, and container-based technologies.
  • Apply authentication, authorization, security, compliance, and data-protection best practices.
  • Contribute to code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, observability improvements, technical-debt reduction, and reliability initiatives.
  • Participate in architectural discussions and collaborate with Principal Engineers, Architects, Product Managers, and DevOps.
  • Support the growth of other engineers and promote an inclusive, collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of software development experience delivering production-grade applications in distributed or SaaS environments.
  • Strong experience with either Node.js and TypeScript or Java and Spring Boot, including asynchronous programming, modular architecture, concurrency, or RESTful services as applicable.
  • Familiarity with React or similar modern front-end frameworks.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, multi-tenancy, RBAC, and SaaS security principles.
  • Experience with microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS cloud services.
  • Working knowledge of event-driven systems including Kafka, SNS/SQS, EventBridge, and Kinesis.
  • Experience with observability practices such as metrics, logging, tracing, and alerting.
  • Experience contributing to CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and automated testing with tools such as JUnit, Jest, or Playwright.
  • Ability to design for scalability, performance, and fault tolerance and troubleshoot complex production issues.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code using Terraform or CDK is desirable.
  • Effective communication with technical and cross-functional stakeholders and a commitment to continuous learning.
