Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure application architectures considering authentication, authorization, and data protection.
- Develop and maintain secure coding guidelines and standards.
- Conduct architectural and security requirement reviews to assess potential security risks.
- Implement security controls and countermeasures to mitigate identified risks.
- Conduct regular security audits or penetration testing.
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations like OWASP.
- Stay updated with the latest security threats and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct pre-research to understand business areas and reserve security tech research.
- Communicate security risks and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and mentorship on security suggestions and secure coding practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
- More than 6 years of application security or software development experience; 10 years preferred.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and SDLC.
- Proficient in mainstream web application development technology, preferably Java-based tech stack.
- Knowledge of OWASP TOP 10 security issues and their solutions.
- Experience with technical implementation of common security solutions.
- Understanding of penetration testing and security testing techniques.
- Familiarity with static security scanning tools for code analysis.
- Basic knowledge of mobile and web security.
- Ability to design solutions for application security vulnerabilities based on industry best practices.
- Experience with threat modeling and attack surface analysis is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
