Responsibilities
- Reverse-engineer, remediate, reimplement, test, and verify VBA and SAP GUI scripting tools for SAP S/4HANA with business stakeholders.
- Maintain and enhance Excel/VBA, Access, SQL Server, and SharePoint tools, including bug fixes triaged through ServiceNow.
- Maintain VBA-based SAP GUI integrations across SAP upgrades and locale changes.
- Manage access using AD Groups, SharePoint groups, and SQL Server user tables.
- Maintain data pipelines, timestamp triggers, and Power BI dataflow refresh schedules.
- Document legacy tools, changes, implementations, and walkthroughs in Confluence.
- Support migration from Excel-based tooling toward cloud-native solutions.
Requirements
- Expert-level Excel VBA skills, including writing and debugging complex macros in large, undocumented inherited codebases.
- Experience with SAP GUI Scripting using VBA to automate SAP transactions.
- Practical workbook engineering with XLSM files, named ranges, Power Query, protected sheets, and development-to-production version management.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and Access, including T-SQL optimization, relational schema design, on-premises SQL administration, and multi-environment development.
- Functional understanding of SAP ECC and S/4HANA in manufacturing and production contexts.
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical manufacturing users, plus an empathetic and user-focused approach.
- Self-sufficient and willing to share knowledge.
- Czech language proficiency at B1 or higher is desirable.
- Experience with Git and GitHub is desirable.
- Experience with Azure Logic Apps, Key Vault, and Data Factory is desirable.
