Base Salary
$170k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust, secure payment systems using scalable microservice architecture.
- Build and support cloud-based and internet-related software products.
- Develop and support projects throughout all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Perform integration, end-to-end, production, and launch-support activities.
- Participate in on-call duties to resolve site issues.
- Collaborate with product and design teams to understand end-user requirements, formulate use cases, and deliver solutions.
- Analyze technical issues and communicate recommendations and solutions clearly.
- Work independently and across multidisciplinary groups.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in the offered role or a related occupation.
- Experience designing and developing high-performance, scalable, and highly available web services using microservices, REST/gRPC APIs, and distributed systems principles.
- Experience with integration testing, end-to-end testing, live/production testing, and launch support across the software development lifecycle.
- Experience with payments or fintech technologies, including credit card processing, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Experience with PCI, Mutual Auth, HMAC, mTLS, encryption standards, certificate lifecycle management, PCI compliance audits, security reviews, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with relational, non-relational, and big data stores such as Couchbase, MongoDB, Cassandra, or Hadoop.
- Experience with object-oriented functional programming and reactive and asynchronous design patterns.
- Experience using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, JSP, and JDBC.
- Experience with Agile development practices, including Scrum.
Benefits
- Partial telecommuting is permitted from within a commutable distance of San Jose, California.
- The regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 40 hours per week.
