Responsibilities
- Evaluate customer data center environments and infrastructure technologies with account teams.
- Design and propose tailored data center, cloud, network, security, collaboration, and services solutions.
- Act as a trusted IT advisor and engage with customer executives and technical stakeholders.
- Build and maintain technical relationships with OEMs and strategic partners.
- Provide product training, technical education, and technical selling guidance to sales teams and customers.
- Manage the solution practice pipeline, develop strategies for top prospects, and support new business development.
- Identify technology opportunities and develop solutions aligned with customer needs and budgets.
- Support complex technical sales opportunities by articulating value propositions and providing technical expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience is required.
- 3–5 years of experience in a similar role is required.
- Intermediate experience with complex data center sales opportunities and infrastructure design is required.
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud, hyper-converged infrastructure, software-defined data centers, infrastructure/platform as a service, automation, containerization, and data center management platforms is required.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies, hypervisors, server virtualization, software-defined data centers, containerization, and automation is required.
- Expertise with Dell Technologies, NetApp, HPE, Cisco, Pure Storage, Azure, AWS, Veeam, and Nutanix is required.
- Experience with disaster recovery, business continuity, high availability, backup and recovery, data protection, mirroring, clustering, and active/standby or active/active solutions is required.
- Ability to communicate and sell complex technical products or services by understanding customer needs and articulating value is required.
- Advanced certification in one or more of Dell Technologies, Cisco, VMware, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE, Azure, AWS, Commvault, Rubrik, Cohesity, Veeam, or Nutanix is preferred.
- Ability to travel to SHI, partner, and customer events is required.
