Responsibilities
- Own, build, deploy, monitor, and maintain backend services supporting Jamf frontend products.
- Write tests, add observability, and configure alerting to keep services reliable and maintainable.
- Build and extend micro frontends, shared frontend platform code, design-system capabilities, and customer-facing features using TypeScript and React, with some Vue.
- Break customer problems into deliverable work and design new and existing features.
- Communicate technical concepts to Product, Support, Technical Communication, and Cloud colleagues.
- Use AI coding tools in daily development and mentor teammates across the engineering organization.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building enterprise-grade software, with a strong understanding of testing and quality assurance.
- Senior-level ownership of backend services, including building, deploying, monitoring, and maintaining them over time.
- Hands-on backend technology experience, preferably with Java.
- Strong frontend skills in TypeScript or JavaScript and React; Vue experience is welcome.
- Experience building frameworks or libraries used by other teams, such as design systems, CI/CD pipelines, observability stacks, authorization, or shared state systems.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with colleagues at all levels.
- Experience working in an agile team.
- Hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code.
- A bachelor's degree is preferred, with relevant experience and education also considered.
- Preferred experience with micro frontends and messaging systems such as Kafka, Pulsar, or RabbitMQ.
