Responsibilities
- Lead customer technical projects by designing and delivering production-grade data, AI, and application systems.
- Own architecture and design decisions for secure, scalable, Databricks-based solutions.
- Design and implement data ingestion, pipelines, applications, and ML/AI model integrations.
- Guide customers through architecture, implementation, evaluation, and adoption of Databricks solutions.
- Embed with customer teams and collaborate with technical contributors, executives, project managers, architects, engineering, and support.
- Manage technical delivery scope, timelines, and measurable outcomes with engagement managers and customers.
- Create reusable accelerators, frameworks, and best practices and provide feedback that influences the Databricks product roadmap.
Requirements
- Strong experience in data engineering, data platforms and analytics, or software engineering.
- Ability to code in Python, Scala, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
- Working knowledge of at least two cloud ecosystems, with expertise in at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Deep experience with distributed computing using Apache Spark and knowledge of Spark runtime internals.
- Working knowledge of MLOps, ML/AI models, and AI APIs.
- Experience designing and deploying performant, end-to-end data architectures and applications.
- Experience delivering technical projects, managing scope and timelines, and translating complex concepts into actionable solutions.
- Experience working with enterprise clients and managing conflicts across broad stakeholder groups.
- Strong documentation and whiteboarding skills, along with curiosity and adaptability when exploring technologies.
- Databricks Certification is preferred but not required.
