Base Salary
$155k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale services supporting EHR integrations and clinical workflows.
- Architect integration services using HL7 v2, FHIR, and EHR-specific APIs, including reusable abstraction layers and modules.
- Implement data validation, monitoring, observability, and HIPAA-compliant security controls.
- Build and maintain AI-enabled healthcare products that improve care quality and patient experiences.
- Design and scale distributed systems, APIs, and cloud-native applications.
- Collaborate with product managers and EHR specialists to translate clinical workflows into software solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, troubleshooting, and technical decision-making.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, concurrency, and distributed systems.
- Professional experience building critical, highly scalable distributed systems with modern programming languages.
- Hands-on experience designing and building RESTful or event-driven APIs.
- Experience designing and scaling microservices or cloud-native applications using AWS, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
- Proficiency diagnosing complex issues across distributed services using logs, traces, and performance metrics.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and ability to work in a rapidly iterating environment.
- Preferred experience with Epic, Cerner, FHIR, HL7 v2, Epic Interconnect, TypeScript, Node.js, AWS, OAuth2.0/SMART on FHIR, patient identity management, clinical data modeling, and AI-enabled product development.
