Responsibilities
- Partner with project managers to recommend, plan, and execute development implementation tasks aligned with client objectives.
- Facilitate discovery sessions, gather and document requirements, and assess custom-solution feasibility.
- Architect scalable, secure, and high-performing custom solutions using development tools and technical modalities.
- Configure, implement, and support HL7 interfaces using integration protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP and APIs.
- Debug custom-solution issues, perform root cause analysis, and document troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
- Demonstrate expert knowledge of at least one solution application and use multiple functionalities, tools, and modalities for customization.
- Communicate technical feasibility and tailored explanations to clients while ensuring scope adherence.
- Work additional or irregular hours as needed and follow security policies protecting company and client information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- At least 4–6 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong experience configuring, implementing, and supporting HL7 interfaces using TCP/IP and APIs.
- Proficiency with SQL and relational database concepts.
- Experience architecting custom interfaces or integrations based on technical and vendor specifications.
- Healthcare IT experience, preferably with healthcare integrations, interoperability, or clinical data exchange.
- Preferred experience with Secure File Transfer Protocol and related file-transfer processes.
- Preferred exposure to or experience with IBM RPG.
- Ability to sit and view a computer screen for extended periods.
