Responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction and feature roadmap of large-scale cloud systems.
- Lead and contribute to development efforts involving internal and external team members.
- Evaluate requirements, solution designs, operational feasibility, and proposed implementations.
- Define feature requirements with product managers and customers.
- Investigate alternatives and new technologies to support continuous improvement.
- Design, install, and prepare software solutions according to system specifications and standards.
- Review code for validity, structure, industry standards, and compatibility across browsers, devices, and operating systems.
- Mentor Software Engineers through advice, coaching, and training.
- Lead ideation, presentations, mentoring, and group-thinking sessions while influencing without authority.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a similar field, or equivalent advanced-level experience, is required.
- Advanced-level, seasoned, and specialized experience in software development and methodologies is required.
- Advanced knowledge of at least one programming language is required.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with enterprise integration standards or governance and multi-system architecture involving Workday and middleware or cloud systems.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with automation, DevOps practices, regulated or compliance-driven environments, mentorship, and providing technical guidance to engineers.
- Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, execution, and stakeholder-influencing abilities are required.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or authorized to work in the United States, be at least 18 years old, meet attendance and appearance standards, and be able to travel as needed.
