Sr Software Development Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain reliable code for complex client/server enterprise applications.
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
- Collaborate on feature design, product direction, testing, documentation, and project estimates.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and triage complex code-related technical issues with Engineering and Support teams.
- Implement code fixes, build patches, and gather product feedback.
- Build, package, sign, and release appliance images and software updates for on-premises and cloud deployments.
- Deploy and maintain customer cloud infrastructure, including compute, DNS, storage, and key management.
- Communicate risks and issues and provide thorough development documentation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Proficiency with the software development lifecycle and modern design patterns.
- Extensive experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Experience with Python, PHP, Laravel or a comparable MVC framework, and large legacy codebases.
- Hands-on AWS experience, including EC2, Route 53, S3, IAM, and KMS.
- Experience with database design and administration, unit testing, peer review, and agile development teams.
- Understanding of network security, encryption, secure coding, and security best practices.
- Strong English written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Preferred experience includes Terraform, AWS Lambda, X.509 certificates, SAML, OAuth2, scalable applications, and Linux kernel debugging.
