Base Salary
$80k - $165k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform, Azure Resource Manager, and other infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
- Design and build secure, robust, and maintainable solutions using Python, Java, or similar programming languages.
- Build applications using AKS, serverless functions, web technologies, and databases.
- Migrate complex on-premises applications to Azure, AWS, or GCP and contribute to BNY’s enterprise cloud strategy.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle from concept and design through testing, deployment, and optimization.
- Collaborate with Security, IAM, and Architecture teams on compliance, identity integration, and enterprise guardrails.
- Create user-focused documentation and stay current with cloud trends, tools, and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
- 7–9 years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or Software Engineer with cloud-native responsibilities.
- Deep expertise in infrastructure-as-code using Terraform or similar technologies.
- Strong programming proficiency in Python, Java, or similar languages.
- Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP; multi-cloud experience is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with cloud fundamentals including compute, serverless, IAM, networking, security, containers, DNS, storage, monitoring, and logging.
- Working knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD tooling, including Azure DevOps, GitHub, GitLab, Terraform, and Ansible.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and troubleshooting capabilities.
