Responsibilities

  • Design and build single-agent and multi-target detection and tracking algorithms.
  • Develop decentralized multi-agent, multi-target tracking algorithms for swarms of unmanned autonomous systems.
  • Create tracking, fusion, and state-estimation capabilities for autonomous robotic systems.
  • Collaborate with autonomy engineers, software engineers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Take algorithms from concept through robust, deployable software for real-world autonomous systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
  • At least five years of experience developing tracking and fusion software for autonomous robotic systems.
  • Experience processing optical, RF, radar, and lidar sensor measurements.
  • Experience with classical state estimation and tracking, including Kalman filters and particle filters.
  • Experience with multi-target prediction and tracking for autonomous robotic systems and cross-platform sensor fusion.
  • Proficiency in C++ and Python with strong procedural and object-oriented programming skills.
  • Willingness to travel for company business between offices and to customer sites.
  • Must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain UK security clearance.
  • Preferred: seven or more years of hands-on tracking and fusion software development experience.
  • Preferred: familiarity with software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop development and testing.
  • Preferred: experience on national security projects for government agencies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to cross-disciplinary teams.
