Responsibilities
- Design and build single-agent and multi-target detection and tracking algorithms.
- Develop decentralized multi-agent, multi-target tracking algorithms for swarms of unmanned autonomous systems.
- Develop tracking, fusion, and state-estimation capabilities for autonomous systems.
- Take algorithms from concept through robust, deployable production software.
- Collaborate with autonomy engineers, software engineers, and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related engineering field.
- At least 5 years of experience developing tracking and fusion software for autonomous robotic systems.
- Experience processing measurements from optical sensors, RF sensors, radar, and lidar.
- Experience with Kalman filters, particle filters, and other classical state-estimation and tracking methods.
- Experience with multi-target prediction and tracking for autonomous robotic systems.
- Experience with cross-platform sensor fusion.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python with strong procedural and object-oriented programming skills.
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain and maintain a UK security clearance.
- Willingness to travel between company offices and customer sites.
- Preferred: 7+ years of hands-on tracking and fusion software experience, familiarity with software-in-the-loop and hardware-in-the-loop development and testing, and experience with national-security projects for government agencies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to cross-disciplinary teams are preferred.
