Responsibilities
- Develop and execute functional and automated test scenarios for distributed automotive features using user stories and sprint requirements.
- Interface with development, systems, wiring, design release, and test teams to implement automated tests and validate electrical features.
- Review requirements for testability and log, debug, prioritize, and report test failures and valid defects in JIRA.
- Reproduce and troubleshoot hardware and software defects and participate in root cause analysis.
- Participate in system design, documentation, code reviews, manual validation rounds, and testing of infotainment systems.
- Estimate testing work during sprint planning and identify improvements to testing processes and velocity tracking.
- Maintain hardware laboratory nodes and develop debugging processes for test scripts.
- Develop and maintain code, scripts, and tools that expand test automation capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field with emphasis on control systems.
- At least 3 years of experience in dynamic systems and embedded real-time controls development for automotive or similarly complex electromechanical systems.
- Experience with data analysis, scripting, and dynamic-system modeling and simulation using Python, TestRail, MATLAB, Simulink, or Stateflow.
- Experience with systems engineering tools and analyses including boundary diagrams, fault tree analyses, FMEAs, and P-diagrams.
- Familiarity with AUTOSAR standards and automotive software development tools.
- Experience with C or C++ and subject matter expertise in chassis hardware and controls, including brakes, steering, and suspension.
- Understanding of automotive powertrain systems and controls, including hybrids, dynamics, hydraulics, electric machines, batteries, and mechatronics.
- Effective problem-solving, communication, documentation, interpersonal, multitasking, and teamwork skills.
- Preferred experience with ADAS feature testing, over-the-air updates, and test bench construction.
