Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Modernize legacy .NET services and migrate systems toward clean architecture and maintainable API-layer designs.
- Build and ship modular Angular frontends, .NET microservices, and scalable event-driven services.
- Use AI coding agents such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Codex for framework upgrades, refactoring, API extraction, test scaffolding, and documentation while detecting errors and preventing regressions.
- Create reusable AI-assisted engineering playbooks, repository instructions, migration checklists, review heuristics, and definition-of-done standards.
- Improve SQL Server schema design, query performance, indexing, and transactional correctness.
- Design and maintain versioned service-oriented APIs with appropriate authentication, reliability, and testing practices.
- Implement automated testing, CI quality guardrails, structured logging, observability, security, and privacy controls.
- Partner with analysts, stakeholders, product, UX, DevOps, QA, and other engineers to translate business problems into reliable software and realistic delivery plans.
- Review code, contribute to architectural decisions, and help improve documentation, test coverage, and engineering practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience building and shipping production software systems.
- Experience with C# and modern .NET, including meaningful refactoring and migration work in large codebases.
- Strong SQL Server experience including schema design, query tuning, and performance troubleshooting.
- Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS, with Azure particularly relevant to the role.
- Experience designing and maintaining versioned APIs and service-oriented architectures with authentication, reliability, and testing practices.
- Daily hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar for multi-file refactoring, migrations, test generation, and review workflows.
- Preferred experience modernizing legacy ASP.NET or .NET Framework systems and applying Azure modernization patterns.
- Preferred experience with Kafka, event-driven architectures, or Postgres alongside SQL Server.
- Preferred frontend experience with Angular and/or React/Next.js.
- Preferred experience establishing AI-friendly engineering practices, CI guardrails, feature flags, canary deployments, or other progressive delivery practices.
- Clear communication, independent and collaborative problem-solving, pragmatic judgment, and experience in regulated healthcare, fintech, or payments domains.
Benefits
- Full-time position with a stated US base salary range of $125,241.00-$187,862.00; total rewards may include additional compensation not reflected in the base range.
