Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical leadership and architectural direction across the Client Lifecycle vertical.
  • Design distributed, event-driven, cloud-native systems and make trade-offs involving resilience, scalability, security, latency, and operability.
  • Translate strategic and regulatory requirements into target architectures, solution designs, and incremental delivery plans.
  • Prototype complex solutions, contribute production-quality code, and unblock teams on difficult technical problems.
  • Own architecture reviews, design assurance, production readiness, technical risk identification, and cross-team technical quality.
  • Guide data modelling, access patterns, data quality, lineage, retention, performance, and operational versus analytical data decisions.
  • Query and analyze data using SQL and appropriate query models across platforms such as Databricks, Salesforce, DynamoDB, and warehouse or reporting systems.
  • Champion AWS-native practices covering serverless, messaging, storage, compute, identity, observability, and infrastructure as code.
  • Guide teams building secure APIs, backend services, and integrations for business-critical regulated customer journeys.
  • Review code and technical proposals, mentor engineers and technical leaders, and raise engineering standards across teams.
  • Investigate production issues and systemic performance or reliability concerns and drive root-cause analysis and durable improvements.
  • Communicate technical strategy, risks, trade-offs, and progress to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience and a record of senior technical leadership across complex, business-critical systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Expert experience designing and evolving distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures in production.
  • Strong hands-on AWS and cloud-native architecture experience, including serverless services and infrastructure as code; CloudFormation experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong experience building backend applications and services with C# and modern .NET.
  • Strong knowledge of asynchronous messaging and event streaming, including EventBridge, SQS/SNS, Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent technologies.
  • Exceptional knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modelling, SQL, query optimization, indexing, transactions, and data-access patterns.
  • Practical experience with Databricks, Salesforce SOQL, DynamoDB, Tableau, data pipelines, data warehouses, or equivalent technologies.
  • Experience designing reusable APIs, services, and integrations with emphasis on secure development, observability, resilience, and maintainability.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security, application security, and risk-aware design in regulated environments.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal communication, and stakeholder-influence skills.
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring engineers and raising technical standards across multiple teams.
  • Experience in financial services, payments, banking, private markets, or another regulated industry is preferred.
  • Experience with KYC, onboarding, account lifecycle management, CRM, operations, compliance workflows, Salesforce integrations, Redis, Kubernetes, CI/CD practices, and modern software delivery tooling is preferred.
