Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and microservices supporting frontend applications.
- Optimize performance, security, and reliability for large-scale cloud applications.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, security teams, and DevOps engineers on backend innovation.
- Design efficient data storage and retrieval solutions using databases and message queues.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
- Guide and mentor junior developers and promote backend engineering best practices.
- Work with React and TypeScript to integrate frontend and backend components.
Requirements
- 12+ years of backend development experience, with exposure to full-stack development.
- Expertise in one or more of Go, Python, or Java, plus experience with Databricks.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL and message queues such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS.
- Proficiency in asynchronous programming, multithreading, and performance optimization.
- Strong understanding of security best practices, authentication, and authorization mechanisms.
- Proficiency with AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and ECS.
- Familiarity with AI-native tools such as LangChain and Langfuse and with AI-DLC development lifecycle practices.
- Bonus: experience with Docker, Kubernetes or ECS, cloud-native architectures, Azure, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, Terraform, CloudFormation, Git, cybersecurity products such as XDR/MDR/SOC, and frameworks such as NIST and MITRE.
