Base Salary
$146k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and iterate on underwriting prediction models using various approaches.
- Build and scale feature pipelines and training datasets from proprietary and third-party signals.
- Prototype new modeling ideas and features, running offline experiments.
- Integrate models into batch and/or real-time decision systems.
- Monitor model and data health, defining retraining and backtesting workflows.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Risk Analytics, Product, and ML Platform teams.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer or a PhD in a relevant field.
- Strong Python skills and experience writing production-quality code.
- Experience with classification models, preferably using gradient-boosted decision trees.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks, preferably PyTorch.
- Experience with distributed data processing or parallel compute frameworks, preferably Spark.
- Proficient in ML lifecycle tooling for training orchestration and model monitoring.
