$174k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automated test systems that scale across networking platforms and roles.
- Operationalize qualification suites in CI and nightly regression pipelines.
- Integrate test systems with lab infrastructure and orchestration services for device lifecycle management.
- Improve test-system reliability, maintainability, stability, coverage, and qualification runtime.
- Debug complex cross-layer failures across test infrastructure, software, hardware, and networking and drive root-cause analysis.
- Partner with software, hardware, networking, and release engineering teams to simulate complex real-world network designs.
- Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, mentoring, and technical architecture.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- 8+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 8+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
- Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
- Experience building tools for building, testing, releasing, or monitoring.
- Experience with Linux/Unix.
- Preferred experience with distributed systems at scale and Layer 2/3 networking protocols.
- Preferred hands-on experience with load balancers, switches, routers, networking hardware qualification, and cross-team release-qualification dependencies.
- Familiarity with network test tools and traffic generators such as IXIA or Spirent.
