Responsibilities
- Own Bizplat’s architectural vision and define a consolidated, well-architected service landscape for company-wide automation.
- Identify redundant, overlapping, and underutilized services; lead migrations, service shutdowns, and convergence onto shared systems.
- Design and build reusable platform capabilities for case management, workflow orchestration, AI/ML pipelines, event streaming, and integrations.
- Lead technical planning and execution for cross-cutting initiatives including contact center stack convergence and automation platform maturity.
- Set and enforce standards for system design, API contracts, observability, data governance, and operational reliability.
- Partner with Forward Deployed Engineering teams to turn domain solutions into reusable platform capabilities.
- Make and communicate architectural tradeoffs involving delivery speed, technical debt, reliability, and long-term platform direction.
- Mentor engineers through design reviews, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with Risk Ops, Customer Ops, Sales Ops, Finance, and Hardware stakeholders to translate operational needs into scalable solutions.
- Use AI, LLMs, agentic architectures, and automation to accelerate engineering delivery and system capabilities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a technical leadership or architect role owning systems at scale.
- Deep experience consolidating complex service architectures, migrating workloads, and decommissioning production services.
- Strong systems design and architecture experience building platforms used by multiple teams and business domains.
- Experience with automation, workflow orchestration, or case management systems such as Temporal, Airflow, custom workflow engines, or similar.
- Experience driving technical strategy across organizational boundaries and executing multi-quarter roadmaps.
- Experience designing for scalability, reliability, governance, and high-volume decisions in regulated environments.
- Experience with one or more of AI/ML pipeline integration, event-driven architectures, contact center platforms, or business process automation.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including production-quality coding, design reviews, and build-versus-buy decisions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and make pragmatic decisions across multiple domains.
- Preferred experience with Forward Deployed Engineering or embedded platform team models.
- Preferred background in financial services, risk/compliance, or payment systems.
- Preferred familiarity with AI-powered decision systems, LLM-based automation, or agentic workflows in production.
- Preferred familiarity with Kubernetes, Kafka, Temporal, GraphQL, Go, Java, or Ruby.
- Preferred record of reducing operational costs through platform consolidation.
