Responsibilities
- Develop Mule 4 applications, APIs, flows, DataWeave transformations, MUnit suites, error handling, and integration logic.
- Implement canonical and customer-specific contracts using saga, idempotency, asynchronous, and event-driven patterns.
- Convert MuleSoft APIs into structured, discoverable assets using MuleSoft MCP support for AI-agent interactions.
- Implement secure cross-domain agent communication using the A2A Protocol.
- Produce design notes, technical documentation, runbooks, test evidence, and deployment artifacts.
- Work directly with customer technical teams, MuleSoft architects, and delivery stakeholders to unblock implementation.
- Operate and troubleshoot integrations in customer cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments across development, test, and production.
- Follow MuleSoft delivery standards, code-review gates, and customer change-management policies.
- Track and report delivery time, status, and risks according to the Engagement Manager’s cadence.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of hands-on Mule 4 development delivering production integrations.
- Active MuleSoft Certified Developer—Level 1 certification, or willingness to certify within the first 30 days at the contractor’s own cost.
- End-to-end integration project experience from requirements through deployment.
- Strong experience with DataWeave 2.x, RAML or OAS, MUnit, and HTTP, Salesforce, JMS, and database connectors.
- Working experience with CloudHub, API Manager policies, and Anypoint Exchange.
- Java troubleshooting and code-reading skills, including heap, threads, and basic profiling.
- Ability to work self-sufficiently on Mule fundamentals and integrate into delivery teams without supervision.
- Understanding of data formats used in AI grounding and Retrieval-Augmented Generation contexts.
- Preferred experience with Anypoint Runtime Fabric, MuleSoft Certified Developer—Level 2, or MuleSoft Architecture Certification.
- Preferred experience with Anypoint MQ, Kafka, or Solace and event-driven design.
- Familiarity with Salesforce Agentforce configurations, MuleSoft event streams, LLM context handling, and generative integration applications.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines into Anypoint using Maven, mule-maven-plugin, or Anypoint CLI.
- Ability to explain complex technical architectures and MuleSoft concepts in terms of business value.
- Working English, collaborative self-directed work habits, and experience in international or multicultural teams.
