Software Developer (AI & Agentic Engineering), SrAssc
State StreetResponsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and support enterprise applications within the COMPASS platform.
- Build and maintain APIs, microservices, batch processes, and integration components.
- Develop integrations using APIs, messaging, file transfers, and cloud services.
- Create automated unit, integration, and regression tests and participate in system integration validation.
- Troubleshoot integration, data, and application issues and support production readiness, releases, and stabilization.
- Use Microsoft Copilot and generative AI for code generation, test automation, documentation, troubleshooting, and knowledge management.
- Develop and support AI-driven solutions for operational automation, data analysis, and workflow optimization.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, secure SDLC practices, monitoring, observability, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, architects, QA, operations, and global teams.
- Support technical documentation, design reviews, onboarding of counterparties and workflows, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- 2–3 years of software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, Oracle SQL, and relational databases.
- Experience with API integration, file processing, and enterprise application development.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery.
- Experience using AI coding assistants such as Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot.
- Understanding of generative AI concepts, prompt engineering, and AI-enabled software development.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Preferred: experience with AWS or Azure cloud services.
- Preferred: financial services, investment management, or transaction-processing platform experience.
- Preferred: knowledge of DevOps, observability, and automated testing tools.
- Preferred: exposure to Azure OpenAI, Copilot Studio, or agentic AI solutions.
