Responsibilities
- Partner with enterprise finance, accounts payable, healthcare, and IT teams to scope, design, and implement automations.
- Translate ambiguous business requirements and undocumented processes into working English as Code automations.
- Build custom integrations between Kognitos and customer ERPs, databases, APIs, email, and document sources.
- Debug and resolve production issues at customer sites, often under time pressure.
- Own the technical relationship with key accounts through onboarding, deployment, and expansion.
- Feed field learnings back to product and engineering to improve the platform.
- Travel to customer sites as needed, up to approximately 25%.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer, solutions engineer, or forward deployed engineer.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or another general-purpose programming language, including the ability to read and write production code.
- Experience integrating enterprise systems such as REST or SOAP APIs, databases, ERP or finance systems, or RPA tools.
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-moving customer environments.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining technical tradeoffs to engineers and business stakeholders.
- Comfort with occasional travel.
- Experience in enterprise automation, RPA, or workflow orchestration using tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Camunda is preferred.
- Experience with LLMs, NLP, or AI-driven automation is preferred.
- Prior experience in finance, accounts payable, or healthcare operations is preferred.
- Startup experience, particularly at a Series A or Series B company, is preferred.
