Responsibilities
- Own and deliver features or components across one or two model-lifecycle services.
- Design, build, test, and maintain reliable software components and production services.
- Translate product and technical requirements into maintainable solutions, APIs, data models, and integrations.
- Investigate technical issues and improve system performance, reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and technical partners across multiple problem spaces.
- Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions and apply sound judgment when using AI-driven development tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Professional software engineering experience appropriate to an SDE II role.
- Experience owning and delivering features or components within a service or defined technical area.
- Proficiency in coding, testing, debugging, version control, API design, data modeling, and low-level system design.
- Experience working with cross-functional partners to deliver, operate, and improve production software.
- Preferred: experience designing and operating reliable services at scale with attention to performance, availability, security, and maintainability.
- Preferred: ability to contribute to architectural decisions, simplify complex technical problems, and improve engineering practices.
- Preferred: experience using monitoring, logging, metrics, and data-driven analysis to diagnose issues and guide improvements.
- Preferred: practical exposure to AI/ML-enabled products, developer tools, or workflows and their safe use in production software.
- Preferred: experience delivering technical solutions across multiple domains or technology areas.
