Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance microservice applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Design and implement scalable, resilient, and high-performance backend solutions.
- Write efficient SQL queries for PostgreSQL and ClickHouse databases.
- Develop code to process complex data structures to and from Kafka.
- Apply best practices for microservice architecture, API design, scalability, and security.
- Collaborate with DevOps, frontend, product, and QA teams.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of commercial experience in Java development.
- Strong knowledge of Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience developing on Linux and familiarity with Bash scripting.
- Experience with SQL databases and optimized queries.
- Experience with Kafka; Avro experience is advantageous but not required.
- Experience with enterprise Java and Spring components, including Spring Data JPA.
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Apache Flink, OpenID, service discovery, API gateways, and service monitoring is advantageous.
- Solid understanding of microservice architectures and best practices.
- Experience with AI coding assistants such as Gemini and Claude and interest in an AI-first approach.
- Previous gaming or sports betting industry experience is advantageous but not required.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, curiosity, and attention-to-detail skills.
