Responsibilities
- Own infrastructure and platform architecture for a private-cloud Kubernetes fleet spanning bare-metal, virtualized, and managed-cloud footprints.
- Set standards for GitOps delivery using FluxCD or ArgoCD, Kustomize, and Helm, with Git as the path to production.
- Define architecture for Cilium networking, Ceph storage, cluster operations, identity, secrets, certificates, and Prometheus/Thanos/Grafana/Loki/Tempo observability.
- Own application architecture across .NET, Go, React, multi-tenancy, service contracts, performance, resilience, and distributed data systems.
- Lead geo-replicated database architecture, migration tooling, schema change management, indexing, and query design across multiple database engines.
- Write and review production code and infrastructure configuration using C#, Go, Helm, OpenTofu/Terraform, Ansible, Python, and Bash.
- Establish security, compliance, policy-as-code, static analysis, service mesh, and AI-assisted engineering practices.
- Review designs, resolve complex technical problems, and mentor engineers across global teams including the Noida GCC.
Requirements
- 8+ years of infrastructure or platform engineering experience and 4+ years of deep, hands-on Kubernetes experience in large-scale production environments.
- Strong GitOps experience with FluxCD or ArgoCD, Kustomize, and Helm.
- Substantial Cilium or comparable eBPF networking experience and CSI/storage experience, preferably with Ceph.
- Experience owning platform services, identity and secrets management, and observability at scale.
- Strong Linux fundamentals, including systemd, kernel and sysctl tuning, and storage and networking stacks.
- Architecture ownership of a large n-tier enterprise application, preferably a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
- Hands-on experience with .NET/C#, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, Go, and gRPC or REST/OData service contracts.
- Experience with distributed and geo-replicated database architecture; OceanBase is ideal, with CockroachDB, Vitess, Spanner, YugabyteDB, or TiDB as transferable experience.
- Automation experience with OpenTofu/Terraform, Ansible, and at least one of Go, Python, or Bash.
- Practising experience with AI-assisted software development, reusable engineering automation, and mentoring others in its use.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator or equivalent demonstrable depth; CKS or CKAD is preferred.
- Experience in B2B enterprise SaaS environments with strict security and compliance requirements such as SOC 2 or FedRAMP.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence distributed teams without direct authority.
- An undergraduate degree in computer science, engineering, or another technical field is required; a graduate degree is preferred.
