Responsibilities

  • Design and implement application-level architectures and full-stack applications for complex projects, components, and subsystems.
  • Build scalable front-end, back-end, API, event-driven, and cloud-native application components.
  • Participate in architecture design teams and recommend development tools, testing methodologies, policies, and standards.
  • Develop and review test plans, ensure QA readiness, and implement automated API, UI, and end-to-end testing.
  • Create documentation and full project life-cycle plans across multiple platforms and projects.
  • Plan and coordinate complex project schedules and assignments while managing project goals, risks, and technology estimates.
  • Act as a liaison with business units to resolve project and technology issues.
  • Advise senior management on technical strategy and develop original technical solutions.
  • Monitor and triage production incidents, resolve live client issues, and minimize service disruptions.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members through code reviews and technical problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a listed related field and five years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree in a listed related field and three years of relevant experience.
  • Experience developing full-stack applications in a financial services environment using Angular, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience building secure, scalable, client-facing financial services web applications for custody and clearing business lines.
  • Expertise with HTML5, CSS3, Angular, Core Java, Java EE, Spring Boot, AWS EKS, Jenkins, Docker, SwaggerHub, IntelliJ, Splunk, JIRA, JUnit, Jest, Playwright, Bruno, Sonar, and Datadog as applicable to application development, testing, deployment, and operations.
  • Experience with object-oriented design, middle-tier applications, dynamic UI configuration, API contracts, application debugging, and code-quality practices.
  • Experience supporting high-availability, stable, and resilient financial services applications and resolving production incidents.
  • Experience with Agile development practices, including Scrum.
