Base Salary

$141k - $229k/yr

Responsibilities

Participate across the software development lifecycle, taking features from concept through production release.
Build backend and occasional full-stack plumbing connecting services, APIs, and product experiences.
Translate business requirements into clean technical designs and extensible APIs with Product, Engineering, and partner teams.
Troubleshoot data, integration, and service issues across a large distributed codebase.
Improve technical documentation, system design, observability, maintainability, and engineering best practices.
Use AI tooling, preferably Claude, to support software design, architecture, and implementation while maintaining engineering judgment and code quality.

5+ years of software engineering experience building backend or data-intensive production systems.
4+ years of experience or strong proficiency with Java and Spring Boot.
Strong database and data-modeling fundamentals across relational databases such as PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
Experience building cloud applications with AWS and serverless infrastructure such as AWS Lambda.
Experience with containerization and orchestration infrastructure such as Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS.
Experience turning complex business requirements into clean and extensible APIs.
Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, visualization, and communication skills.
Familiarity with security, documentation, monitoring, and Agile/Scrum practices.
Comfort using AI tooling, preferably Claude, in daily solution design, architecture, and implementation work.
Preferred experience with white-label or multi-tenant architectures, Apache Kafka, Python, pytest or unittest, Node.js, TypeScript, Twitch, and full-stack development.
