Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Cisco Identity Services Engine platform features on Cisco UCS hardware and Linux.
- Develop software for the Cisco Access Manager cloud platform and provide debugging and troubleshooting support.
- Write clean Java and Go code, Python automation, unit tests, and high-quality feature designs.
- Debug customer issues, resolve complex errors, review code, and monitor production systems for scale, velocity, and reliability.
- Lead projects end to end, coordinate estimates and delivery across teams, and track progress and remediation plans.
- Identify improvements to software development lifecycle processes and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and support peers through code reviews, documentation, presentations, and technical guidance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 7 years of related experience, master’s degree plus 4 years, or PhD plus 1 year.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java applications, Go development, and cloud applications, particularly AWS.
- Knowledge of Python for automation.
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes and application development.
- Solid conceptual and practical knowledge of application development; networking knowledge related to security or network management is preferred.
