Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and expand AI-assisted automated test suites for IONOS Cloud applications and APIs.
- Automate QA processes including synthetic test-data generation, log analysis, and defect classification.
- Use OpenAPI or Swagger schemas and functional specifications to generate and validate tests and code.
- Design end-to-end and integration test frameworks for cloud control panels, backend services, and provisioning workflows using Python, Pytest, and API or UI runners.
- Integrate automated testing into GitLab CI and GitHub Actions pipelines and eliminate unreliable tests.
- Evaluate new AI tools, agents, and frameworks to improve team productivity and system reliability.
Requirements
- Professional experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or software development in test/SDET roles.
- Practical daily experience using AI coding assistants and LLMs to write code, generate test data, or automate routine workflows.
- Ability to formulate effective prompts, critically review generated output, and reduce repetitive boilerplate work.
- Strong programming and test-automation skills; experience with Pytest, TypeScript, or contract testing such as Pact is advantageous.
- Experience testing RESTful APIs and distributed microservices from formal specifications.
- Comfort with Linux environments, Docker containers, Kubernetes, and core cloud concepts including IaaS, PaaS, networking, and virtual machines.
- Practical experience integrating automated test stages into GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or comparable CI pipelines.
- Strong critical-thinking and builder-oriented problem-solving skills, including proactively identifying edge cases and challenging requirements.
- Willingness to undergo an enhanced SÜ2 security clearance.
