Responsibilities
- Collaborate within a multi-functional team including product, design, and engineering.
- Maintain, improve, and scale the Roblox party system for millions of concurrent users.
- Participate in the design and development of service infrastructure for Roblox creators.
- Partner with other engineering teams to integrate systems in a safe and performant manner.
- Self-organize and take ownership of projects throughout their lifecycle.
- Maintain high quality standards while iterating on features with live production traffic.
- Mentor interns.
Requirements
- An undergraduate/graduate degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience with microservice architectures addressing scalability and reliability.
- 1+ years of experience building systems behind consumer-facing APIs for large user bases.
- Strong understanding of server-side development and design principles with proficiency in a compiled language.
- Strong product intuition focusing on user experience and measurable outcomes.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools for rapid prototyping and iteration.
