Base Salary
$194k - $313k/yr
Responsibilities
- Extend and evolve the Verse compiler toolchain and virtual machine.
- Implement new Verse language features.
- Integrate the toolchain into Unreal Engine content, build, and cooking pipelines.
- Optimize performance, memory usage, and iteration times across the Verse toolchain and Unreal Engine/Verse boundary.
- Establish test workflows to validate improvements and prevent regressions.
- Drive integration work with the Verse Language team and broader Unreal Engine programming organization.
Requirements
- Excellent knowledge of C++17 or later.
- Experience profiling and optimizing large codebases.
- Strong ability to reason about large, interconnected systems.
- Strength in compiler and VM internals or Unreal Engine integration; experience in both is a plus.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across programming teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and deliver practical solutions independently.
